In her quest to reduce maternal and neonatal mortality in the country, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament (MP) for Dome Kwabenya constituency will be commissioning a maternity health center in November.
Speaking on Solid Fm with Nana Kwadwo Juantuah, she promised to promote Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) on maternal and neonatal mortality in the constituency.
The legislator hopes to deliver her 16 promises if retained as the MP for the area, adding that she will not disappoint her constituents.
She is wresting for the seat with the ruling National Democratic Congress’ (NDC) Nurudeen Mohammed in the December polls.
According to her, the maternity home which is dedicated to pregnant women is near completion.
‘I have 16 reasons you should based on to vote for Adwoa Sarfo and my flagbearer Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and these are my achievements. I have summarised them into 16 and this is what I tell people when I go out. One very important one is my maternal health center which is for women because I realised that, the SDGs most of our heads of State meet and plan and one of the most important goals is reducing maternal and neonatal mortality where women lose their babies and die when they go through the labour process. I wanted to make it one of my priorities and ensure that I have a maternity clinic just for women, next month (November) I will be commissioning that project and as we speak now it’s near completion,’ she promised.
