Two Assembly members of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA), have been arrested on the orders of a Kumasi Circuit Court presided over by Judge Mary Nsenkyeri.
Assembly member for Ridge Nhyiaeso Electoral area, Abraham Boadi commonly known as Opooman and Assembly member for Edwenase/Agric electoral area, Alexander Bediako were arrested for allegedly engaging in heated exchanges while court was in session.
The trail judge subsequently ordered for the arrest and detention of Opooman as well as, Alexander Bediako over their conduct.
According to information reaching Solid fm’s online reporter indicates that, the two were demanding the release of a public address system impounded by the Control Unit belonging to another colleague.
Despite persistent warnings from court officials over the level of noise they were making which was disrupting proceedings, the two were unrelenting leading to the order for their arrest and subsequent detention.
After spending several hours in detention however, they were released and cautioned to be of good behavior.
